Overview

Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group is searching for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our enterprise HR team and provide day-to-day support to our Patina Restaurant Group properties west coast locations, including Downtown Disney and locations across Los Angeles and Orange County. Our ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of HR policy and procedures for a larger, distributed employee population, and is an effective communicator and influencer of associates at all levels of an organization.

 

The HR Manager role will involve associate onboarding, training, compliance, associate relations, and being the connector between the location and our enterprise Human Resources team. We are eager to find an HR Manager who easily connects with people and has a detail-oriented mindset to handle the changing nature of our organization and the workforce.

 

This is a hybrid role with both remote and onsite responsibilities.

Unit Description

Patina Restaurant Group is a leader in the premium segment of the restaurant and catering industry, operating restaurants and managing catering and food service operations at high-profile venues including, Lincoln Center, Walt Disney World®, Disneyland®, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, and The Metropolitan Opera. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract, hire, and onboard new team members.
  • Develop and deliver trainings to new and existing associates, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of their job functions, policies, procedures, and opportunities for growth.
  • Handle all associate relations matters and complaints, including conducting investigations and complaint resolution. Participate in grievance process for union associates when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in internal auditing and the maintenance and safeguarding of associate files.
  • Act as a connector between the location and our enterprise HR team, advocating and educating for consistent and best practice policies and practices and sharing insights and knowledge unique to the location.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years HR management experience with at least 3-5 years HR Generalist experience.
  • Experience working in a seasonal environment preferred.
  • Restaurant and/or hospitality environment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • PHR or SPHRcertification is a plus.
  • Seeking experience with Workday/UKG or similar system, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, possible weekends for events as needed.
  • Ability work in a hybrid role with both remote and onsite responsibilities.  Ability to work onsite at our Anaheim locations 2 days per week and LA 2+ days per week. Additional days will be remote.
