Position Overview:
The Junior HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations across key functional areas including recruitment coordination, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional looking to build broad exposure while contributing to a high-performing HR function.
Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity
- Support benefits administration, enrollment, and employee inquiries
- Assist with payroll coordination (data validation, changes, audits)
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate job postings, candidate scheduling, and interview logistics
- Support candidate screening and communication
- Facilitate onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and orientation
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth hiring experience
Employee Relations
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and basic HR issues
- Escalate complex employee relations matters to senior HR staff
- Support documentation of employee concerns, performance issues, and investigations
Performance & Talent Support
- Assist with performance review cycles and tracking
- Support training and development initiatives
- Help coordinate employee engagement programs and surveys
Compliance & Policy
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws
- Assist with audits and reporting requirements (e.g., EEO, OSHA, etc.)
- Support policy updates and employee communications
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience
- Basic knowledge of HR principles and employment laws
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Rippling, Lever)
- Exposure to recruiting or employee relations
- HR certification (or working toward) such as SHRM-CP or PHR

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this full-time position is between $75,000 and $85,000. This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position in the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience, job-related skills, related education, work location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. In addition to a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits package, this position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and equity program, as applicable.
