Job Objective & Safety/Security Sensitive Designation

JOB OBJECTIVE: To coordinate activities relating to the City of Little Rock's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)/Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) accommodation and leave requests from initial receipt to final disposition and ensures all requests are processed in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, guidelines, policies, procedures and regulations.

This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

Minimum Qualifications, Additional Requirements and Supervisory Responsibilities

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, or related fields, and three (3) years of demonstrated professional-level working knowledge, interpretation, and application of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to include experience administering FMLA and ADA cases or related areas; two (2) years of experience in the development and presentation of training programs or related area; two (2) years of demonstrated advanced-level Microsoft excel experience.    Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required.
