Basic Functions / Tasks

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the HR and talent strategy as it relates to advertising and hiring for the variety of professionals that are currently or may be employees of LRCHC.  This needs to be in conjunction with the current strategic plan.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing plans for succession, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development and compensation.  
  • Responsible for the creation and updating of job descriptions, posting them as needed, implementing recruitment measures and ensuring hiring information is up to date regarding state, federal and CCT and LRCHC rules and regulations. 
  • Responsible for reviewing applicants, setting up interviews (including appropriate questions to be asked) and ensuring that an interview team is in place that follows LRCHC policies. 
  • Manages information to be entered into Paycom, and/or works with the correct CCT department to ensure that information is kept updated and accurate including pay amounts, benefits, time recording, etc.
  • Work with Executive Director on the creation and/or updating of employee contracts. 
  • Manage the employee files, both paper and electronic.  This includes annual purging of old files. 
  • Plan and implement required trainings and other training and inspirational opportunities for all staff. 
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.  This includes laws pertaining to CCT. 
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations based on the policies and procedures, laws and regulations of LRCHC, CCT, Washington State and the federal government.  
  • Provide orientation for new employees.  This should include information about LRCHC
  • Plan organize and direct all aspects of human resources management to ensure the fair and equitable treatment of all employees, compliance with LRCHC policies and manage legal aspect of employee/employer relationships.
  • Provide monthly HR updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Work with CCT HR, Payroll, and Benefits department to ensure that all employees have correct and updated access to their Paycom account, their benefits and their pay information. 

 

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

  • AA / AAS Degree (Required)
  • BA Degree in HR or Business Management (Preferred)
  • PHR / SPHR / SHRM Certified (or agree to achieve certification within one year)
  • Four (4) years of professional management experience, preferably in a health care setting (Required)
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, electronic
  • Proper English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation to prepare professional correspondence, compose and edit report text.
  • Sufficient human relations skills to work productively and cooperatively with other work teams.
  • Knowledge of Tribal, Federal and State rules, regulations and policies
  • Strong computer skills

 

Physical Ability

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time. 
  • Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers.
  • Requires auditory ability to carry on conversations over the phone, in person and when needed electronically.
