Description

  

Toyota of Hemet is seeking a part-time HR Manager to oversee day-to-day human resource functions including compliance, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced HR professional who understands California labor laws and the retail automotive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain employee records and files (digital and physical)
     
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding
     
  • Administer employee benefits and coordinate open enrollment
     
  • Handle employee relations and conflict resolution professionally
     
  • Ensure compliance with federal and CA-specific labor laws (meal/rest breaks, PTO, FMLA/CFRA, etc.)
     
  • Oversee safety and training documentation, coordinate with Toyota corporate training reps
     
  • Track time-off, leaves of absence, and workers’ comp documentation
     
  • Assist department managers with performance management processes
     
Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years HR experience, preferably in auto retail or similar industry  
  • Strong knowledge of California labor law and HR best practices  
  • Familiarity with HR software (e.g. Paylocity, Mineral, Dealer built)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills  
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion  
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred (not required)  
Salary Description
$35-$50/hr
