The Role at a Glance
The Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Industrial Fire Program within the Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI). This position ensures the effective administration of program activities through the accurate maintenance of records, reports, and related documentation. The Training Manager also supports the Program Director in budget management, staffing coordination, and overall program execution. Additionally, this role evaluates instructional staff through classroom observations and training activities, providing coaching and professional development to enhance instructional effectiveness and maintain high standards of program quality.
This position reports directly to the Program Director for Private Sector Programs.
Qualifications of the Role
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of experience in Industrial Fire or a closely related field.
Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Must have a valid passport or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1081 certification (Industrial Fire Brigade - Exterior, Interior, and Leadership levels).
NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor I certification.
Equivalency: Will consider an Associate’s degree with seven years of experience in Industrial Fire or a closely related field OR a High School Diploma/GED with nine years of experience in Industrial Fire or a closely related field.
