Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Process Excellence Capabilities & Training Manager.

This is a hybrid role available in multiple cities within United States. The Process Excellence Capabilities and Training Manager is responsible for defining, building, and sustaining the capabilities required to deliver capital projects effectively across Global Engineering. Reporting to the Director, Project Delivery Process Excellence & Capabilities, this role shifts the emphasis from traditional training delivery to strategic capability development and comprehensive training program management, ensuring the organization possesses the skills, behaviours, and capacity required to effectively execute its capital agenda.The role integrates business acumen, executive effectiveness, project execution & delivery excellence, and contractor partnering capabilities, working closely with Engineering & Property Services (E&PS), Procurement, Legal, and project leadership to ensure both internal teams and external partners are equipped to perform.

You will be responsible for:

  • Support the development and lead the capability strategy for Global Engineering Process Excellence, defining the skills, behaviors, and competencies required across roles and project phases.

  • Design, deliver and program-manage capability-building programs beyond technical process training including:

  • Business and financial acumen for capital projects

  • Executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder effectiveness

  • Decision-making in complex, matrixed environments

  • Conduct and review capability and skills gap assessments; translate gaps into targeted development actions and resourcing recommendations.

  • Partner with leadership to assess workforce readiness and resourcing needs across major programs and portfolios.

  • Develop enablement focused on working with and managing contractors, in partnership with Procurement, Legal, and E&PS, including commercial awareness and partnering behaviors.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) to align capability development with facilities, real estate, and site execution needs.

  • Provide on-site capability enablement and training at project and site locations, particularly during project mobilization and critical execution phases.

  • Embed capability development into onboarding, project mobilization, and leadership routines, rather than standalone training events.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement by applying structured CI methodologies and tools to enhance capability programs, improve process execution, and strengthen operational performance.

  • Develop, manage, and continuously optimize a training calendar that aligns with organizational priorities

  • Measure capability effectiveness through performance and execution outcomes, continuously refining programs based on business needs.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Learning & Development, or related discipline is required; advanced degree is preferred.

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process excellence, project management, capital project delivery, or technical learning and development within a large, matrixed organization.

  • Lean and/or Six-Sigma certification with proven record of continuous improvement is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering role-based training programs for standardized processes across global, cross-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end capital project lifecycles, including phase-gate models, cross-functional interfaces, and execution governance.

  • Proven ability to translate complex engineering and project management processes into practical, scalable training content that drives adoption and consistency.

  • Experience working in regulated or highly controlled environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, or similar)

  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and partnering with SMEs to deliver enterprise enablement initiatives.

  • Experience supporting large capital programs or portfolios; exposure to mega-project environments strongly

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint for executive-ready content, Excel for tracking and analytics, Word for controlled documentation).

  • Experience with collaboration and knowledge platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) for content hosting and global deployment.

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Resource Management Systems (RMS) and digital learning tools for course administration, tracking, and reporting.

  • Experience in data management and visualization systems such as Power BI and Tableau is preferred

  • Ability to work with process documentation and visualization tools (e.g., Visio or equivalent) to support training and standardization.

  • Comfort operating in data-driven environments, using metrics and dashboards to measure training effectiveness and adoption.

  • This position may require 25% of domestic and/or international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$102,000.00 - $177,100.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days

Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
