About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Recruiter & HR Specialist to support and enhance our talent acquisition and human resources functions. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process while also contributing to key HR initiatives, including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is both people-focused and process-driven, with the ability to balance recruiting priorities alongside broader HR responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Compliance Director.
What you'll do:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies
- Create and post job descriptions across appropriate platforms
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs
- Coordinate interviews, provide candidate feedback, and manage offer processes
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Track and report on recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, etc.)
HR Operations & Administration
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and orientation
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Help develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
Employee Relations & Support
- Support performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
- Assist with organizing and executing quarterly employee events
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations, including I-9, EEO, and other required documentation
- Support audits and internal reporting as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried workforce populations
- Working knowledge of various job boards or candidate databases; LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Zip Recruiter, etc.
- Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
- 2–5+ years of experience in recruiting and/or HR generalist roles preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices preferred
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
- Experience with Rippling platform preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to manage up and be proactive in solving problems and identifying solutions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with AI tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Valid driver’s license
