Position: HR Coordinator - Regional

Department/Campus: Regional Office Reports to: Regional Director of Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt Pay Grade: Band IV

Job Type Full Time Work Hours Normal Work hours (215 days)

JOB ROLES:

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all campus locations in the region. This role

administers employee health benefits and acts as a liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related

problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resource Coordinator makes that certain plans are

administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the

human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and data entry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Bachelor’s degree required

● Minimum of two years related work/admin experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

● Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

● Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

● Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Oversee employee service functions by answering employee requests and questions.

● Oversee Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.

● Assists with processing of terminations.

● Attend, organize job fairs, place needed job postings.

● Prepare pre-screened hiring pool for principals.

● Perform recruitment and initial screening process. Tracks status of candidates in HR software and responds with follow-up letters at the

end of the recruiting process.

● Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the supervisor/school principals.

● Oversee documents into appropriate employee files.

● Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.

● Prepares new-employee files.

● Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

● Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.

● Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.

● The position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.

● Moderate travel is required.
