This position is onsite in Rancho Cucamonga, California, supporting multiple plant locations while partnering closely with plant leadership and the HR Director across the broader organization. The role combines strategic partnership with hands-on execution and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring consistent HR practices, strong employee relations, and compliance with California and federal employment laws while helping foster a positive and productive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to execute hiring strategies for hourly and salaried roles.

  • Support interviewing and selection processes to ensure quality hiring decisions.

  • Oversee compliant, welcoming onboarding experiences across supported locations.

  • Assist leaders with workforce planning and organizational changes aligned with operational goals.

Employee Relations & Workplace Culture

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to plant leadership and employees.

  • Address employee concerns and resolve workplace conflicts professionally and fairly.

  • Provide coaching and guidance on policy application and employee management.

  • Promote consistent performance management and disciplinary practices across locations.

  • Support an inclusive, respectful, and compliant workplace culture.

Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on California employment laws and HR compliance, including:

    • Wage and hour requirements

    • Meal and rest period compliance

    • Final pay requirements

    • Wage statement accuracy

    • Paid sick leave and local ordinances

    • Required workplace postings

  • Conduct internal investigations and maintain proper documentation.

  • Partner with Safety and EH&S teams to support OSHA compliance and safety training.

  • Monitor legislative updates and advise leadership on compliance impacts.

Training, Development & Performance Management

  • Facilitate HR-related training such as harassment prevention, interviewing, and performance management.

  • Partner with leaders to identify and implement training needs.

  • Support LMS configuration and training assignments.

  • Assist with leadership development and succession planning initiatives.

  • Lead annual performance review cycles to ensure consistency and fairness.

HR Metrics, Reporting & Systems

  • Track and analyze HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, and engagement trends.

  • Provide leadership with actionable insights to improve retention and workplace effectiveness.

  • Maintain employee data accuracy within ADP.

  • Partner with Payroll to ensure proper employee classification and wage law compliance.

  • Support additional HR initiatives and projects as needed.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including multi-site and/or multi-state support.

  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and federal compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations.

  • Experience supporting hourly or manufacturing work forces.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, specifically, ADP Suite, Preferred and learning management platforms.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or California HR specialty certification.

  • Experience in environments with elevated employee relations needs or union avoidance strategies.

  • Experience building or implementing training and performance programs.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred to support workforce engagement.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually
(Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications, consistent with California pay transparency requirements.)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments and requires regular onsite presence at plant locations. Occasional travel between sites may be required.
