Senior Accountant & HR Assistant

Full-time Position: 40 hours per week and overtime as needed.

Salary: $62,000 to $78,000 based on experience

FSLA status: Exempt

The position will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, account reconciliations, month-end journal entries, g/l account number recodes, and job cost accounting along with providing assistance with Human Resources. All other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

· Capable of sitting in a chair for several hours in a working day.

· Physically use your eyes to read the computer monitor for several hours in a working day.

· Ability to utilize a computer and Microsoft Office.

Duties:

· Weekly payroll processing

· Posting payroll in the Foundation Accounting System

· Preparing and processing cash deposits and credit cards

Senior Accountant

· Managing incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

· Processing sales/use tax returns

· Verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data

· Generating invoices and account statements

· Performing account reconciliations

· Assist in producing monthly financial and management reports

· Answering incoming calls related to accounting

· Carry out tasks such as filing, copying, binding, and scanning

· Maintaining personnel records

· Assisting with onboarding and off boarding procedures

· Assisting with employee questions regarding benefits

· Obtaining certificates of insurance and processing purchase orders

· All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

· A minimum of 7 years of accounting and human resources experience

· Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree

· Understand general ledgers and account debit/credits

· High communication, organizational, attention to detail, and efficiency skills

· Demonstration of effective problem-solving skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel

· Experience with the management of union certified payroll and reporting a plus
