The Senior HR Generalist has a wide variety of duties and responsibilities. This position requires a meticulous detail-oriented, analytical, and strategically minded professional who has the innate ability to anticipate needs, multi-task, and bring projects to successful completion. 


In this role, you will take ownership of HR matters from recruitment to performance management, compensation reviews, disciplinary actions, and learning and development initiatives. The Senior HR Generalist ensures consistent application of HR policies, maintains compliance with employment laws, and helps foster a safe, productive, and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to balance between advancing business objectives and supporting employee well-being.

This role is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas.


Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

  

  • Develop, implement, communicate, monitor, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and technologies, aligning with UMNA’s goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations and required reporting. 
  • Oversee all tasks related to the recruiting and hiring process, including maintenance of the ATS platform and creation of offer letters.
  • Lead and support HR projects and initiatives as assigned driving process improvements and operational efficiency
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Conduct workplace investigations, manage disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
  • Manage OSHA compliance and workers’ compensation claims and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree desired.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting a manufacturing workforce (salaried and hourly).
  • HR certification desired (PHR / SHRM-CP).
  • 5 years of experience in an HR operational role required.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and technologies.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

 Work Environment

  • Indoors, in an office environment, with temperature control.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time, with the potential for international travel.

 Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
