JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Human Resources Generalist manages business priorities and provides operational and strategic Human Resource support and guidance to U.S. employees and leadership. In collaboration with leadership, is responsible for our candidate experience, retention strategies, and employee experience related to performance, compensation, employee relations, and employment policies and practices. In addition, they share taking the lead on HR initiatives and project management.
This position is responsible for managing various HR functions and the day-to-day operations of the human resources department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND OTHER DUTIES
Talent Acquisition:
Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates, drafting offer letters, running background checks and completing employee files.
Work with managers to onboard new hires into the organization.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Work with Managers to coach, address and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
Oversee the performance management process, providing guidance to managers on goal setting, feedback, development plans.
Implement performance improvement plans, including separations of employment as necessary.
Collaborate with the Payroll and Benefits Managers, providing support and assistance as needed.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to understand organizational issues, build relationships and influence change.
Proven ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient knowledge and use of HR technologies (ATS, HRIS, and other HCM technologies) is necessary to evaluate and implement system upgrades and new platforms.
Advanced knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL, EEOC and other related Federal & State laws; Good understanding of California state law a plus.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including talent sourcing and acquisition, wage and hour regulations, compensation practices, performance management.
Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point, Outlook.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus.
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
