Description

 Employee Relations & Compliance: Address employee relations issues,
including conflict resolution and policy interpretation. Escalate to Talent
Acquisition and Development Manager or COO as needed. Ensure all HR
policies and procedures are compliant with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Serve as a vocal advocate of the company’s corporate responsibility policy by
actively encouraging all employees to “See Something. Say Something” without
fear of reprisal
 Benefits, Paid Time Off & Leave Management: Administer employee benefits
and claims, including managing new hire and special enrollments. Manage the
annual open enrollment process with benefits broker and coordinate all internal
meetings and informational packets. Oversee all paid and unpaid leave of
absence programs and manage all workers & compensation and unemployment
claims. Monitor the paid time off (PTO) approval and data entry process in
Paycom. Maintain the corporate time off tracking calendar and administer the
blackout date process
 HR Operations: Maintain and manage all employee files and records to ensure
full compliance with all applicable labor laws. Assist with departmental SOP
management, updates, and internal communications.
 HRIS & Payroll: Process the company’s bi-weekly payroll and any special
payrolls required in a timely and mistake-proof manner at all times. Monitor
timekeeping and related payroll-related functions.
 Employee Engagement: Assist in creating and executing internal employee
surveys and the annual Great Places to Work engagement survey. Plan and
coordinate employee offsite events and other engagement activities and set
goals for employee participation and satisfaction survey scores. Serve as a
visible presence on the office and shop floor to answer questions, engage with
staff in a positive manner, and to ensure compliance with all company policies
SOPs at all times. Communicate policy violations or suggested areas for
improvement to the COO
 Purchasing and Procurement: Manage the ordering of company logo
merchandise, office supplies, break room supplies, snacks and beverages, and
any requested employee, visitor or special event catering. Continually search for
opportunities to reduce costs improve quality
 Committee Representation: Serve as the HR department’s representative on
the employee engagement and safety committees; work closely with the Sr.
Safety and Security Manager on developing and implementing proactive safety
programs with the goal of zero lost time injuries annually
 All other duties as assigned by management

Secondary/Backup Responsibilities
 Talent Acquisition and Performance Management Support: Assist the Talent
Acquisition and Development Manager with recruiting support as needed,
including coordinating interviews, providing administrative assistance, and
representing the company (as requested) and job fairs or community events.
 Onboarding & Offboarding: Assist with new hire onboarding and offboarding
processes as directed by the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager.
 Performance Management Support: Assist in managing the performance
review process by helping develop and implement performance coaching plans
and tracking progress.
 Training & Development: Assist in developing, scheduling, and tracking training
sessions for employees and managers.
 Analytics & Reporting: Assist with creating ad hoc reports and compiling data
for annual audits, including the preparation of the company’s annual 401(k) and
profit-sharing plan reporting requirements in a timely manner.
 Internal Customer Service: Serve as a daily point of contact for routine
employee questions and concerns, escalating issues to the Talent Acquisition
and Development Manager or COO as appropriate.

Qualifications

Qualifications
 Education: Bachelor’s degree is required; business discipline is preferred.
 Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant HR Generalist experience is
required.
 Certifications: Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
highly desirable
 Technical Skills: Experience with Paycom HRIS highly desirable; strong working
knowledge of the MS Office Suite, Gemini AI, and the Google Suite of
applications required
 Soft Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, a friendly and
approachable demeanor, and an entrepreneurial desire to solve problems and
improve processes.
