Job Summary:
 The Senior Human Resources Generalist operates under the guidance and direction of the HR Director and provides comprehensive HR support to site leadership, employees, and cross‑functional teams. This role is responsible for employee relations, compliance, performance management, training support, culture initiatives, and HR operational excellence. The Senior HR Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to operations leadership and plays a critical role in promoting a positive, productive, and compliant workplace.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Under HR Director guidance, supports employee relations by conducting investigations, documenting findings, advising managers, and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Support and partner with the recruiting team on workforce planning, onboarding coordination, and new‑hire experience (without performing recruiting duties).
  • Oversee HR compliance, including maintaining employee files, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, and supporting site audits.
  • Facilitate performance management cycles, coaching managers on goal setting, corrective action, disciplinary procedures, and development plans.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA.
  • Support the Leave Administrator with LOA processing, ADA accommodations, and return‑to‑work coordination.
  • Support site training initiatives and assist in delivering HR‑related training content (policies, compliance, culture, leadership support).
  • Prepare HR metrics and reports related to turnover, attendance, corrective actions, and workforce trends.
  • Partner with payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping and pay‑related updates.
  • Promote a positive employee culture through engagement activities, recognition programs, and consistent communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold Liberty Tire’s safety and HR standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, coaching, and employee relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Strong organization, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and HR generalist responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting hourly and manufacturing/industrial environments strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and other employment regulations.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM‑CP) preferred but not required.
