Position Summary
The Senior Human Resources Coordinator is an experienced HR professional responsible for coordinating and administering key human resources functions across the full employee lifecycle. This role requires a strong foundation in HR operations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within established policies and procedures. The Senior HR Coordinator serves as a trusted resource for employees and leaders while partnering closely with the Director of Human Resources to support daily operations, compliance, and organizational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Support & Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and standard practices
- Support employee relations matters by gathering information, preparing documentation, and escalating issues as appropriate
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in all employee interactions
Onboarding, Records & Lifecycle Management
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation in compliance with company and legal requirements
Recruiting & Talent Coordination
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, offer documentation, and pre-employment screenings
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and compliant hiring process
Compliance, Payroll & Benefits Support
- Support compliance requirements, including I-9 verification, background checks, and employment eligibility documentation
- Assist with payroll preparation, audits, and HR data validation
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and enrollment support
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
HR Programs & Development
- Assist with HR audits, reporting, and policy administration
- Support the rollout and communication of HR programs and initiatives
- Coordinate performance review cycles and assist with employee development initiatives
- Support training programs and internal HR communications
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources or HR operations roles
- Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS systems, payroll, timekeeping, and benefits administration
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
