AMDA is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Senior Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations on our Los Angeles Campus. This role will serve as an HR resource for employees/supervisors, providing guidance across core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, compliance, onboarding, and HR process support. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling HR matters with professionalism, discretion, and consistency.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for HR support to staff and supervisors on the LA Campus
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, employee relations, and performance management
  • Support recruitment efforts including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding
  • Assist with employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes
  • Support HR compliance efforts, including documentation, recordkeeping, and policy adherence
  • Partner with leadership to address workplace issues, employee concerns, and conflict resolution
  • Coordinate and support performance evaluation cycles and coaching conversations
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, qualifying life events, and employee support inquiries
  • Manage leave of absence administration (including coordination, tracking, documentation, and return-to-work processes) in alignment with applicable policies and regulations
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims, including reporting, documentation, communication with carriers/vendors, and return-to-work support
  • Assist with HR reporting, tracking, and administrative processes as needed
  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation in accordance with confidentiality standards
  • Support HR initiatives and projects as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience (Senior-level experience preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with benefits administration, leave of absence management, and workers’ compensation
  • Strong working knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, and compliance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and campus teams
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools
  • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR a plus
 
Position Information:
  • The regular schedule for this role is Monday - Friday (9:00am – 5:30pm PT)
  • The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $90,000 annually.
  • This position is subject to a background check upon a conditional offer of employment and a reference check.
  • This is a fully in-person Position.
