This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished HR leader to operate at the intersection of organizational strategy, workforce optimization, and enterprise-level transformation during a pivotal period of HR and operational advancement.
As the Senior HRBP, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, deliver critical support across complex workforce initiatives, and help drive an inclusive, high-performance culture across the organization. This assignment is onsite at 1111 Louisiana Street, Houston, TX, embedded directly within the business—positioning you at the center of real-time decision making.
What You’ll Do
Strategic HR Leadership & Advisory
- Partner directly with senior leaders to align people strategies with operational, financial, and organizational priorities.
- Act as a trusted consultant by offering strategic recommendations, challenging assumptions, and shaping forward-leaning HR solutions.
- Influence leaders across multiple business units to drive a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Employee Relations & Workforce Risk Management
- Lead complex, full-cycle employee relations engagements including investigations, performance concerns, coaching, and policy interpretation.
- Guide leaders through sensitive employee matters with sound judgment, confidentiality, and adherence to organizational standards.
- Partner with internal legal and labor relations teams (as needed) to ensure workplace practices remain consistent, fair, and compliant.
Organizational Effectiveness & Talent Optimization
- Support organizational design, workforce shifts, talent reviews, succession planning, and competency alignment activities.
- Facilitate business conversations that surface skill gaps, operational bottlenecks, and opportunities to elevate leadership capability.
- Collaborate with enterprise HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to integrate performance management, workforce planning, and engagement programs.
Change Leadership & Culture Stewardship
- Enable change management efforts tied to enterprise transformations, structural updates, and major people initiatives.
- Coach leaders on communication, decision-making, and workforce engagement practices to strengthen team performance.
- Elevate and reinforce an inclusive workplace culture reflective of the communities the organization serves.
Data-Driven Insights & HR Operations Excellence
- Leverage HR analytics, dashboards, and systems (SAP HCM preferred) to diagnose trends and drive informed actions.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of HR transactions, employee data, and operational processes in partnership with HR operations teams.
- Provide business units with actionable insights that influence workforce planning and organizational strategy.
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of progressive HRBP or related HR experience in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strong background in employee relations, performance management, workforce risk mitigation, and leader coaching.
- Experience in utilities, transmission, distribution, or industrial sectors is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency with SAP HCM strongly preferred.
- Strategic mindsets are paired with strong business acumen, executive communication, and solution-oriented thinking.
- Ability to influence at all levels and operate with independence, discretion, and professional judgment.
