Job Description
The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner supports the organization in staffing, immigration, HRIS, Benefits and other administrative support within the Human Resources organization. The following are areas where the individual will work, and other areas as needed.
- Hiring – Recruiting and sourcing candidates for the engineering organization will be a key priority. Setting up interviews and confirming the information with candidate and managers. Setting up outlook calendar for interviews. Collaborating with our applicant tracking system, Workday on opening a requisition, salary benchmarking, phone screens, set up interviews, NDA filing, background checks and offer letters. Working with Admin staff on travel for candidates not in the area.
- Intern program – Work with the Sr. HR Business Partner and the Director, HR, on organizing and follow through of the program, which starts with the college recruiting, setting up dates for colleges, collaborating with candidates. This includes the requisition, offer and hiring process as well as setting up the program each year.
- New Hires/Terminations – Onboarding new hires, setting up the new hire packets, employee files, updating HRIS system, etc. Work with Admin staff on travel related to relocation of the new hire. Completing all off-boarding tasks including exit interviews and other tasks associated with off-boarding.
- Benefits/payroll – Supporting employees with questions and supporting the HR team during open enrollment and HRIS operations.
- Employee relations, including supporting management with OD, Performance and employee recognition and other areas as needed.
- Immigration - Working with the Sr. HR Business Partner and the Immigration attorney’s on active cases which require extensions (H1B extensions, EAD extensions, J-1 extensions, L-1 extensions), transfers for new hires, new H1-B’s for new Grads, the continued support of Perm recruiting process and filing new green cards. Support on any audits from government as well as LCA files to maintain.
- HRIS – Completing all required new hire, term, and other HR transactions within Workday. As well as auditing the new system as required.
- Employment Verifications
- Misc. Admin duties for Human Resources team such as support with training and development, termination packets, training records, setting up files, e-verify and data entry into Workday, filing and pulling files for audits.
Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 5-8 years within the Human Resources field
- Immigration support experience, nice to have.
