Lake Air Products is experiencing tremendous growth, and we have an exciting opportunity for a driven candidate to join our Human Resources team!


We are currently seeking a Sr. HR Generalist for our Little Chute/Appleton LocationsThis position will contribute at both strategic and operational levels to help cultivate a high performing, diverse and inclusive team. The Sr. HR Generalist will perform duties in all the main HR disciplines including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits, compliance, HRIS, and employee relations. This role will be onsite and will report to the HR Manager.

Responsibilities/Job Duties

  • Lead the entire recruiting process from beginning to end - including development of job postings, management of recruiting requisitions, conducting prescreening interviews, scheduling, and logistics of interviews & hiring.
  • Focus on providing a positive candidate experience, by ensuring appropriate follow up & professional communication with candidates at all levels in the process.
  • Prepare weekly recruiting reports for management and oversees weekly HR meeting.
  • Conduct new hire employee and benefit orientations. 
  • Assist payroll and supervisors with timekeeping, attendance and employee payroll changes.
  • Maintain employment records related to hiring, training, termination, leaves, disciplinary action, transfers or promotions by utilizing human resources management system software and distributing to appropriate departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State Laws including EEO, FMLA, HIPAA and ADA.
  • Consult with and coach managers as they handle performance issues and talent development needs. Supports succession planning and employee development plan creation.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from employees regarding policies, payroll, handbook, benefits, employment verifications, and any other inquiries.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 4-6 years progressive Human Resource professional experience with at least 2 years of recruiting experience in manufacturing. 
  • Knowledge of the main HR disciplines including talent acquisition, performance management, organizational development, compensation, benefits, FMLA/ADA, HRIS, and employee relations.
  • Ability to travel between WI plants (approx. 7 miles) and flexibility to accommodate multiple shifts in both locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Displays high levels of confidentiality and the ability to use discretion when communicating sensitive information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education.
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
