Position: Full-Time, 12 Months

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM


Position Overview

Codman Academy Charter Public School is seeking a Talent Recruitment and Human Resources Manager to lead efforts in attracting, hiring, and retaining top-tier educators and staff. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance to ensure a thriving and diverse school culture. The Talent Recruitment and HR Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the school’s mission by fostering an inclusive and high-performing work environment.


Key Responsibilities

Talent Recruitment & Hiring

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract highly qualified candidates.

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.

  • Cultivate relationships with universities, professional networks, and community organizations to build a strong talent pipeline.

  • Develop and supervise the teacher induction program in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Education

  • Ensure a fair and equitable hiring process that aligns with Codman Academy’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Onboarding & Employee Engagement

  • Lead the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a seamless transition into the school community.

  • Develop and implement professional development initiatives that support staff retention and growth.

  • Work collaboratively with school leadership to create a positive and inclusive work culture.

Human Resources Management

  • Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, certifications, licensure and background checks.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including teacher licensure and certification requirements.

  • Serve as the point of contact for employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.

  • Support performance evaluation processes and provide HR guidance to leadership.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Oversee payroll processes in coordination with the finance team.

  • Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

  • Ensure compliance with all employment policies, labor laws, and school policies.

  • Conduct HR audits and maintain personnel records in accordance with best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience in HR, recruitment, or talent management (experience in education or non-profits is a plus).

  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now. 

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Passion for education and a commitment to the mission of Codman Academy.

  • Additional duties as assigned by the Head of School to support the overall success of Codman Academy.

Salary Range $95,000 - $125,000
