Tax Center and Training Manager (Temporary/Seasonal) - Neighborhood Tax Centers

The Tax Center and Training Manager is responsible for the daily operations of an assigned VITA site during tax season and completing all tasks required for Volunteer Training. This position requires attending the NTC Manager's training before the start of tax season and passing the IRS Advanced Certification test annually.

• Ensures the site complies with all IRS VITA site requirements
• Ensures accurate tax return preparation through supervision of volunteers, research of IRS resource materials, and 100% quality review of returns.
• Maintains a professional and welcoming environment for clients and handles problems or conflicts that arise with clients professionally.
• Update lesson plans and training materials for volunteer training
• Provides tax and procedural assistance to seasonal tax managers as needed
• Updates training curriculum for advanced volunteer training classes
• Updates training curriculum for the intake specialist classes
• Completes all logistical arrangements for training, including scheduling training site(s), preparing the class schedule, posting the schedule on the Volunteer website, and selecting and training the trainers
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Director
