Purpose / General Description:  Lead the development and execution of training programs that support our manufacturing, installation, and service teams. This role is critical in ensuring our workforce is equipped with the technical knowledge and skills required to deliver high-quality security barrier solutions to our clients

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Training Needs Assessment:

  • Collaborate with business units, field service teams, and technical departments to assess current capabilities and identify training gaps.
  • Conduct job task analyses and performance evaluations to determine training priorities across manufacturing, installation, and service functions.

 

        Consultation & Program Design:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand operational challenges and training requirements.
  • Design and develop targeted training solutions, including hands-on workshops, safety protocols, equipment operation, and compliance training.

 

         Program Development & Delivery:

  • Create and maintain technical training materials, manuals, and SOPs tailored to security barrier systems and related technologies.
  • Deliver training sessions in classroom, on-site, and virtual formats, ensuring alignment with industry standards and company procedures.

 

         Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement feedback mechanisms and assessments to measure training effectiveness and knowledge retention.
  • Continuously refine training programs based on field performance, incident reports, and evolving technologies.

 

      Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Safety, and HR to ensure training content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with business goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on technical training strategies and workforce development.


 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical training, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or field service environments or in lieu of 5+ years of experience in servicing and installing Boon Edam products.
  • Experience in conducting training needs assessments and designing technical training programs.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards, mechanical systems, and installation practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Education, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the security or physical barrier industry.
  • AAADM’s certification.
  • Certification in instructional design, safety training, or technical education (e.g., OSHA, CPTD).
