Position Summary 

The Training Manager is responsible for developing and delivering NOC’s core training programs, including new employee orientation, required compliance trainings, cultural and behavioral training, hospitality and guest-service training, and leadership development. This role also oversees the administration and effective use of NOC’s Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure training is accessible, consistent, and measurable across all locations.

Key Responsibilities 

Training Development & Delivery 

  • Create and lead New Employee Orientation and other company-wide training programs.
  • Develop curriculum, training materials, and learning tools to support employee success.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training for seasonal and full-time staff.

LMS Administration 

  • Manage the Learning Management System, including course creation, assignment, tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date training content and monitor completion rates.

Compliance & Required Training 

  • Manage state and federal training modules assigned to the HR function (e.g., harassment prevention, workplace conduct).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.

Cultural, Hospitality, & Behavioral Training 

  • Deliver training that reinforces NOC’s core values, professionalism, communication standards, and guest-service expectations.
  • Support hospitality-focused training to ensure consistent guest experience across departments.

Leadership & Manager Development 

  • Develop and facilitate training for supervisors and managers related to coaching, communication, and performance management.

IT Collaboration & Technology Training 

  • Collaborate with the IT department to understand internal systems, processes, and upcoming technology initiatives.
  • Translate technical information into clear, practical training materials.
  • Deliver training that equips employees to effectively adopt new tools, follow updated procedures, and maintain operational efficiency.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement 

  • Collect feedback and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Update content, delivery methods, and LMS functionality as organizational needs evolve.

Collaboration 

  • Partner with HR, Safety, IT, and department leaders to support training needs across the organization.
  • Serve as a resource for managers on training and employee development topics.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in training, curriculum development, or instructional facilitation.
  • Experience administering and utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 business applications and Windows-based computer systems.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.

Preferred: Experience in hospitality, outdoor recreation, or seasonal workforce environments; familiarity with change management or technology-driven training; professional training certifications (ATD, SHRM).
