Salary Range: $70,000 – $118,000 (DOE – Based on Experience)

Are you an HR Generalist who thrives on autonomy, accountability, and results?
We’re looking for an expirienced Human Resources Generalist to be our boots on the ground at our Live Oak & Gridley sites. In this critical role, you'll help run a wide range of day-to day HR functions — from time and attendance, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Benefits Administration
Help facilitate and ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing with HQ
Ensure time and attendance compliance for hourly and salaried staff
Handle immediate employee inquiries and resolve payroll/benefits issues with HQ
Assist in administering benefits enrollment, terminations, and issue resolution with providers
Maintain confidential payroll and benefits records
Compliance, Policies & Reporting
Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal employment laws
Conduct policy reviews, updates, and training
Generate reports and support audits
Maintain HRIS systems and employee files
Employee Relations & Engagement
Support managers with performance management and coaching
Lead or support complex investigations and recommend outcomes
Help drive employee satisfaction initiatives and events
Facilitate employee offboarding and exit interview processes
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Work with HQ on the recruitment lifecycle — from posting to offer
Conduct new hire orientations and follow-ups
Coordinate pre-employment testing and compliance checks
Leave Administration
Work with HQ to administer employee leaves of absence, including accommodation coordination
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field
4+ years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance
Proven experience with HRIS systems and payroll platforms
Excellent judgment, confidentiality, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook)
Able to manage competing priorities with calm and clarity
Experience managing HR tasks independently with minimal supervision
Preferred:
Bilingual in Spanish (Highly Preferred – Diverse Workforce)
HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
Working Conditions:
Office-based with occasional work in outdoor/production areas
Exposure to machinery, noise, weather, and PPE requirements
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and shift between standing/sitting frequently
