JOB SUMMARY:

This position serves as a partner to assigned business units, influencing and guiding managers and employees by providing human resources (HR) expertise on employee relations, performance management, fact findings, and day to day people matters. This role collaborates closely with the HR departments, leadership, managers, and employees to strengthen workplace relationships, improve engagement, and support productivity and retention. In addition, this position analyzes HR trends and metrics, contributes to the Human Resources departmental goals, and recommends policies and process improvements to enhance overall HR effectiveness.


1.    Conducts weekly meetings with business unit managers and monthly meetings with employees, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up on key items and action plans. 

2.    Consults with management, providing HR guidance as needed, ensuring recommendations are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes. 

3.    Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies, ensuring data is accurate and insights are delivered with recommendations in a timely manner. 

4.    Manages and resolves employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective fact finding with a high degree of accuracy and within established timelines; engages Directors, HR staff, Legal, and leadership as appropriate. 

5.    Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers on employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, and corrective action, ensuring advice is accurate and responsive to business needs. 

6.    Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. 

7.    Researches, identifies, and recommends training for business units and staff, ensuring recommendations are aligned with organizational needs. 

8.    Actively participates with the HR department and HR leadership team to develop and achieve departmental goals and metrics, meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy of contributions. 

9.    Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed, ensuring recommendations are well-informed. 

10.    Maintains knowledge of HR company-wide practices and policies and remains current on HR regulations and regulatory changes, ensuring information is accurate and proactively applied. 

11.    Completes assigned duties and responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy and within established timelines. 

12.    Other related duties as assigned by manager or leadership.


JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS


Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or a related field; equivalent professional experience in a relevant industry will be considered.


Certifications or Licenses:

    Professional certification in Human Resources preferred.


Experience

    Minimum of two (2) years’ experience functioning as a Senior Human Resources Generalist. 

    Previous experience working in fast paced, dynamic health care environment preferred.

    Previous experience working with a multi-state employer a plus.


Skills and Competencies:

    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Human Capital Management systems; working knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations preferred. 

    Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws, with the ability to apply legal requirements in practical, business-focused solutions. 

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex or sensitive information. 

    Ensures accurate and thorough management of documentation, investigations, and compliance requirements while demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    Builds strong, credible relationships across executive leadership, managers, and frontline employees; serves as a trusted business partner. 

    Self-directed and highly organized, able to manage competing priorities, work independently across business units, and consistently meet deadlines.
