SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR Operation including recruitment, Team Member relations, training, development, and benefits administration. Must operate with self-initiative and proactiveness to drive DNGE property success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for coaching/counseling Team Members and management on all Team Member relations issues.
  • Acts as a liaison between Team Members and managers to facilitate communication.
  • Leads the recruitment process by proactively sourcing candidates to fill department openings quickly.
  • Develop strategies to recognize and reward enhance property Team Member satisfaction.
  • Direct and monitor the employment and recruitment process to ensure all position openings are filled in a timely manner.
  • Consistently demonstrates excellent communication skills, establishes and maintains relationships with Team Members at all levels for the purpose of providing them with accurate feedback.
  • Conducts Team Member relation investigations and partner with Managers to help prepare performance improvement documentation.
  • Reviews and analyzes any grievances filled with HR and partners with Department Managers to create resolution within four days.
  • Takes a lead role in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures to ensure that such polices and procedures embrace the DNGE’s Team member relations philosophies and that they are executed consistently, fairly and equitably.
  • Provides counseling and support to all personnel to ensure good Team Member relations.
  • Support management by providing Human Resource Policy advice, counsel and decisions.
  • Protect the confidentiality of any and all business information.
  • Ensuring job descriptions for every Team Member is up to date and accurate.
  • Responsible for interpretation and application of the company’s established policies and procedures with regarding Team Member relations matter.
  • Review all manager discipline written documentation to ensure fair and consistent application of policy.
  • Liaison between Team Members (coaching) and managers when appropriate.
  • Partner with leadership regarding engagement survey results t create department action plans to improve.
  • Monitors monthly turnover reports. Take actions t decrease turnover working with Department Managers and General Managers.
  • Reviews and analyzes any grievances filed with HR and partners with senior leadership to create a resolution.
  • Proactively work with SWO Gaming Commission requests and assignments.
  • Property key users in UKG.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The team member is regularly exposed to risk of radiation (from computers), as a great deal of the workday is spent working on spreadsheets or inputting data into the computer system.

Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke.  Extensive computer use.  Must handle hazardous materials.  Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs.  Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
