Position Summary
Glenmont Job Corps Center is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Education & Training Manager to lead and oversee our Academic and Career Technical Training programs. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality educational instruction, student achievement, program completion, and career readiness outcomes.
The ideal candidate is passionate about student success, staff development, and building strong community partnerships that support workforce readiness and educational excellence.
The Education & Training Manager will supervise department staff, maintain compliance with program standards, and ensure students receive industry-recognized training and credentials that prepare them for full-time employment, higher education, or advanced training opportunities.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Leadership & Program Oversight
- Lead and supervise the Education & Training Department staff.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality academic and career technical training programs.
- Monitor student progress, achievement, and successful completion of the Job Corps program.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of student records and data.
- Ensure learning environments are organized, safe, clean, and conducive to student success.
Staff Development & Management
- Recruit, interview, train, evaluate, and support department employees.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and motivating workplace culture.
- Recognize staff accomplishments and proactively address performance concerns.
Student Success & Support
- Provide individualized support and case management to students.
- Promote accountability, professionalism, and positive student behavior.
- Ensure programs and services consistently meet student needs.
- Model and reinforce Career Success Standards.
Community & Partnership Engagement
- Develop partnerships with employers, schools, workforce agencies, and community organizations.
- Promote a positive image of the Center and Job Corps within the community.
- Build meaningful relationships with local leaders and stakeholders.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the Center meets or exceeds DOL and company performance goals.
- Collaborate across departments to provide effective student services and supervision.
- Analyze challenges, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to DOL and company leadership.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited school required.
- Masters degree from an accredited school preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in program management and direction with substantial experience working with youth required.
- Experience working in Job Corps or closely related field preferred.
- Experience in teaching or related field preferred.
- A valid in-State teaching certificate preferred.
- Department of Labor approval required.
- In State Drivers License REQUIRED
