Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team and support a dynamic real estate development organization. This mid-level role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of HR disciplines—including benefits administration, employee relations, leave management, new hire orientation, and HR data analytics—providing meaningful support to employees and leaders throughout the company. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can work independently while also serving as a trusted resource and collaborative partner to the broader HR team. This position is well-suited for an HR professional eager to deepen their expertise, take ownership of key processes, and continue growing their career while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.  

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist internal and external customers in matters relating to various HR disciplines.
  • Be the SME for all The Carroll Companies benefit plans, facilitate open enrollment (active and passive) through physical setup in HRIS (currently ADP), education materials/campaign, enrollment validations, OE file feeds to vendors and EOI follow ups.
  • Become the ADP LMS compliance training SME. Assure that compliance metrics are met and classes are completed timely.
  • Run monthly data reports and utilize to track turnover and other metrics and distribute as instructed.
  • Perform benefit allocations and provide to Accounting/Finance as needed.
  • Track ACA conformance and manager/monitor through completion of 1095’s.
  • Perform monthly audits on benefit billings vs enrollments, EEO categories, Time clocks (geofencing), other items as necessary.
  • Administer company Random Drug Testing program; to include random selection, set up of screening, informing of leadership, and tracking results.
  • New Hire Orientation – conduct as needed for new hires.
  • Administer Employee Retention Program – touch base with new hires at regularly scheduled intervals (15/45/75 or similar) and track results.
  • Conduct Exit Interview program – through face to face/video/phone/email (last resort) and compile/analyze data for trends. Make recommendations to HRD.
  • Ensure compliance with required notifications; examples being Ascensus enrollments/investment changes/required notices; Benefits, etc.
  • Be a true team player to all members of the Human Resources Team, helping out others when and where needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Prior HR Experience of 3-5 years, in various HR disciplines to include benefits, employee relations, payroll, HR analytics, talent/recruiting.
  • A 4-year degree in HR or a business discipline preferred.
  • HRIS experience, with ADP preferred.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills.
  • Initiative – self-start to find ways to be productive, create efficiency within the department
  • Ability to interact with various levels of leadership and various departments within the company.
  • Self-discipline to stay focused, on-task, and achieve results.
